Key takeaways from The Kingdoms of Ruin news:
- The anime is set to air on October 7th, 2023, during the Fall season.
- The anime is based on the manga by Yoruhashi, produced by Yokohama Animation Lab, and directed by Keitarou Motonaga, known for Date A Live.
- While not expecting a groundbreaking plot, I anticipate that The Kingdoms of Ruin will be enjoyable, with action and gore playing a significant role, making it a noteworthy addition to the Fall 2023 anime lineup.
I covered this anime back when it was announced for the first time. I thought that the poster looked kinda edgy and cool and I heard that there is a lot of gore in the series. So that caught my attention. Now, here we are a few months later, and we know pretty much everything about the anime at this point.
We recently got a release date locked in for the first episode too along with a bunch of other info. So let’s talk about all the news first.
So welcome back to another news article, Today we will be talking about The Kingdoms of Ruin. As usual, the news comes first, and then my thoughts after that. So let’s start.
What do we know about The Kingdoms of Ruin Anime?
Well, the anime will be based on the manga of the same name by Yoruhashi. The manga has been serialized in the Comic Garden Magazine since April 2019. As for the anime, it will be made by Yokohama Animation Lab. It seems to have a lot of staff from Date A Live for some reason and even has the same director, Keitarou Motonaga. The anime is scheduled to air on 7th October, in the Fall Season of 2023.
We recently got a 2nd PV for the anime as well, which you can check out right here. The PV features the opening theme song of the anime “Kieru Made” by Hana Hope. The ending theme song “Prayer” will be performed by Who-ya Exteneded. Kaito Ishikawa and Azumi Waki will be featured as the main cast in the show.
That covers all the news for now. So let’s move on to
What do I think?
I think that The Kingdoms of Ruin has potential. I won’t say that it will be the best thing ever or anything absurd like that. But, I think it will be fun to watch. I don’t expect the plot to blow me away but I think the action and gore will make up for it. Well from what I’ve heard about this series, that is what seems to be the case at least.
Fortunately, we don’t have to wait that long to see how good the anime is for ourselves. It is barely a month away. Another addition to my Fall 2023 collection. This season, I was watching around 12-13 anime, it feels like Fall 2023 will make me watch almost double that amount.
Conclusion
Well, that is all for now. I have not read the source material so I can’t really comment on things in detail but I am interested in The Kingdoms of Ruin and I think it has potential. Let me know what you guys think in the comments. I will take my leave here. See ya!
