Vanitas no Karte kind of ruined me lol. See, I keep on wanting to find animes like it but nothing even came close to scratching that itch. So I keep looking for different supernatural anime sets at that particular time. And Undead Girl Muder Farce checked all my boxes and finally managed to scratch that itch.
It has the perfect period, the perfect setting, a good plot with a tone I appreciate, and some interesting characters. It is a complete package if you’re looking for a supernatural detective-style anime and I love it so far.
So welcome back to another one of my first impressions articles, today we are talking about Undead Girl Murder Farce. So let’s get started.
What do I think about Undead Girl Murder Farce so far?
The plot of this anime is pretty interesting. It is a cool blend of European and Japanese supernatural beings. So our MC, Tsugaru was originally a human but a certain someone doused him with a big portion of Oni blood. This blood makes him stronger but it comes at a risk that one day he will lose his humanity and become complete Oni, killing everyone around him, The ritual undead girl, Rindo Aya finds him and tells him that she has a cure for his condition, if Tsugaru can kill her.
You see, Aya is just a head trapped in a cage now since a half-Oni chopped off her head and took her body away. She cannot die from half-hearted attacks like that since she is immortal. Tsugaru refuses to kill her and instead proposes a deal that they track down her body and take it back. Since he is pretty certain that the person who made him into an Oni is the same person who took Aya’s body.

This scene was so awkward XD, got a good laugh out of me
So off to Europe, they go, acting as detectives to gather information on that person and solving cases related to supernatural beings like a vampire murder mystery.
The art style and overall design of the anime are well-suited for the plot. I appreciate the character designs, and the environments are also impressive. Additionally, the opening and ending themes are quite enjoyable.
Conclusion
So overall, Undead Girl Murder Farce has a really interesting plot with a good setting and some awesome characters. It is complimented well by the art style and animations. It gets an easy 8/10 from me. Let me know what you guys think in the comments. I will take my leave here. See ya!
