So welcome back to another edition of our weekly musical series. The past few days have been quite a bit bad for me. I have been busy because something bad happened in our family. So there has been a lot of traveling and I’ve had to support quite a few people. But, tell you what? Music helped me stay calm all the way through this turmoil. Especially anime music and covers really do hit the right spot at times.
I really hope that some of you feel the same way as me about music and I hope that it helps you see your way through bad situations too. With that said, we are back again with 5 more great covers that you should check out this week. The list is in random order as always so let’s get started right away.
Sekai ga Owaru Made wa by SLSMusic
Sekai ga Owaru Made wa is the legendary ending theme of the good old Slam Dunk. With the anime apparently coming back this year, there hasn’t been a better time to revisit this good old classic. Slam Dunk is the series that popularized many of the sports anime tropes we see today. This cover is just awesome. SLS never disappoints with his amazing arrangements. You can check out the video here.
The Rumbling by Fonzi M
As expected of Fonzi, this dude works fast when it comes to making covers of new anime stuff. Attack on Titan just came out yesterday and Fonzi has already made a cover for the opening. I really love the choice of making a metal-style opening theme for this season because if you thought AoT cannot surprise you anymore, you have no idea what’s coming. This opening already has so many spoilers for those who know and it sounds so cool. You can check out the video here.
Yuuzora no Kami Hikouki by Ru’s Piano
Yuuzora no Kami Hikouki is the really cool ending theme of the legendary Hajime no Ippo. Hajime no Ippo is so slept on these days man, it is a really good anime. Seeing boxing as the base for a sports manga/anime is still so rare these days; let alone finding something as good as this. Ru does an awesome job on her covers as always man. She is perfect for these kinds of lists because she uploads 2-3 videos a week. You can check out this awesome cover here.
The Rumbling by Kaji
Didn’t want to put another cover of the same song on one list but, I couldn’t find anything better. I don’t understand how one can work so fast and still deliver such quality work. Kaji is just awesome at what he does. The Rumbling sounds so cool on drums though, it is just awesome. His videos are really cool to watch too and his covers are just chef’s kiss. You can check out the video here.
Ashes on the Fire by Animenz
Everyone is celebrating AoT coming back and I am not mad at all. The master is back with another cover and he finally decided to make Ashes on the Fire cover for us. It is every bit as awesome and glorious as you’d expect. Ashes on the Fire sounds so good and it is a perfect OST for some of the upcoming moments. Even though it is only played 3 times in Season 4, you just can’t forget this song. Check out this awesome video here.
Conclusion
That is it for now. Let me know your thoughts and recommendations down in the comments. This week was full of AoT stuff just as I expected but, it is good stuff so it doesn’t matter. With that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!
