Welcome back to another edition of our weekly music recommendation series! It is the last week of February and it is kinda insane just how quickly the year is going by. I have had terrible luck in gacha for the last 2-3 days; I was really sad but, that is how gacha goes. After some bad luck in gacha, the best way to chill out is to listen to some music. Cover artists really work hard to bring us the anime music we love in a different way.
So here are another 5 awesome anime covers that caught our ears this week. The list is in random order, as always. So let’s get started right away!
The Rumbling by HalcyonMusic
I didn’t realize that Halcyon hasn’t done a cover for The Rumbling yet. Man, this opening is just awesome. Took a while for AoT to get some metal in the openings but the meta came in heavy with this one. This opening really fills you with hype because of that aggression and screaming. Halcyon does awesome covers as always; this man really needs more appreciation. Check out the video here is the embed is dead.
Akuma no Ko by Kathie Violin
Speaking of Attack on Titan, the endings aren’t that far behind the openings. Akuma no Ko especially is just something else. This song does a great job of showing Eren’s feelings. When you understand the lyrics, this song hurts. I am so glad Kathie did a cover for this song; I really wanted to hear what it sounded like on a violin and I was not disappointed. The video just came out an hour ago at the time of writing; check it out here if the embed is not working.
Zankyou Sanka by Drumstick and Ring
Well, this was a treat. Drumstick’s solo covers in themselves are really awesome but this, this is next level. He collaborated with Ring for a full band cover of Zankyou Sanka, the opening theme of the Demon Slayer Entertainment District arc. This is an awesome cover from start to the end. And it is only the short version meaning they plan on doing a full version in the future. I look forward to it. For now, check it out here or in the embed.
The Rumbling by Animenz
Sorry for another Attack on Titan entry; I had to put this one in though. I have been waiting for Animenz to drop his cover of The Rumbling for so long now. He never disappoints; the cover is just chef’s kiss. I love his work and his infamous 10-hands technique man. It is insane sometimes how complicated his arrangements can get. Check out the clip here if the embed isn’t working.
Sparkle by Ru’s Piano
So Ru also uploaded her cover of Akuna no Ko recently but, I’ll save it for next week because of obvious reasons. For now, though, we have the cover of Sparkle. It is the famous OST from Kimi no Na Wa. This song’s melody is so gripping, even if you have watched the movie quite some time ago, this will trigger your nostalgia. Check out the clip here if the embed isn’t working. I really appreciate Ru for putting out such great vids on a regular basis.
Conclusion
That is all for now. Let me know your thoughts in the comments. Shield Hero recently got a fresh new PV, you should really check that out too. With that said though, I will take my leave here. See ya!
