Welcome back to another week of our musical covers series, my favorite weekly series to do. We have some more awesome covers to look forward to this week once again. A lot of stuff has been happening lately and man, music has helped me a lot in staying composed through all this. I don’t know how many of you feel the same way but, trust me music can help you a lot and in such unexpected ways.
So let’s get started with our cover selection for this week. This is the 24th edition of this series and man, time flies by quick. I have some good stuff for you guys this week too. The list is in random order as always so; let’s start without any further delay.
Cry Baby by SLSMusic
SLS is a bit late to the Tokyo Revengers party but, better late than never. He recently dropped this awesome cover for us to vibe to. Cry Baby is of course the opening theme of Tokyo Revengers and this opening fits so well with the anime. Cry Baby is what Takemichi is called again and again throughout the series. The vibe and the melody of this song are really unorthodox, that is one of the reasons why it is so good. You can check out the video here.
Unravel by HalcyonMusic
Just as the video title says, this opening hits you with a truckload of nostalgia. I am sure Tokyo Ghoul is one of the first anime many of you ever watched. It was my 3rd or 4th anime and even though the anime is bad, the series still holds a place in my heart. Halcyon really did hit us with some heavy stuff right at the beginning of the year. I loved listening to an Unravel cover after so long. You can check out the video here.
Again by Kathie Violin
Again is of course the legendarily famous first opening of FMA Brotherhood. I don’t care if you have watched the anime or not or whether you like this anime or not you gotta love this opening. It is so fast-paced and catchy. The song is really meaningful too and it is something almost every one of us can relate to. I didn’t expect to see an FMA Brotherhood cover today but, I am glad I did. Kathie did an amazing job as always, man. She really does deserve more views and subs. Check out the cover here.
Hadaka no Yuusha by Kaji
Hadaka no Yuusha is the second opening theme of the now famous, Ousama Ranking. Ousama Ranking is the perfect definition of not judging a book by its covers. The anime may appear childish at first but, you couldn’t be any more wrong. There is a reason why everyone is going crazy behind this anime right now. That aside though both of its opening themes are just awesome. I thought the first one was good ooh boy, the second one is even better. Kaji is just amazing with his drums as always. Check out the video here.
Isabella’s Lullaby by Ru’s Piano
Isabella’s Lullaby is an OST from The Promised Neverland. Yes, the second season was bad you know what? The first season really had us going. Don’t lie, the first season filled us with so much hype that the second season failed to live up to that in any way. The first season of The Promised Neverland was a near-perfect anime. This OST fills you up with so much nostalgia from the first season. Check out the covers here.
Conclusion
That is it for now. Let me know your thoughts and recommendations down in the comments. I hope this New Year has been treating you well so far and yea, I will take my leave here. See ya!
