Welcome back, it is the 20th edition of our weekly music series. After doing these weekly articles for a long time now, I have to see I enjoy doing these the most. That’s just my love for music speaking through but, time does flow fast. It will soon be a year since I started this job and man, what a year this has been.

Well, without going off too much into tangents let’s talk about the list. As always, we have some awesome covers for you once again. The list is in random order as always. So yeah, let’s get started.

Avid by SLSMusic

Avid is the ending theme of the awesome anime, 86. It is originally composed by one of my all-time favorites, Hiroyuki Sawano. This song has such a nice punch to it man. Avid hits you right in the chest with all the feels. Now it is just SLS here to praise for this cover but his duet partner, Yu Lun too. I heard him for the first time in this video but he’s really good as well. I love this cover and 86 is an awesome anime, it’s a must-watch in my opinion. You can check out the cover here.

Real people don’t look like Anime Characters

This Game by Yu-Lun Chou

So after the first entry, I went ahead and checked out Yu Lun’s channel. I have to say, this guy is great. This Game is obviously the iconic opening theme of No Game No Life and is originally by Konomi Suzuki. This Game is easily one of the most famous anime openings of all time and for a good reason. This song is just awesome. This cover is once again a duet by SLS and Yu Lun. It is an awesome cover and it’s now my second favorite cover for this song and trust me, I have listened to a lot of This Game covers. You can check it out here.

Zankyou Sanka by Kaji

This video just premiered at the time of writing. Zankyou Sanka is the opening theme of the Demon Slayer Entertainment District arc which just came out 2 days ago. It is absolutely amazing how fast some cover artists work in dishing out good covers so quickly. I absolutely love the song; Aimer worked their magic really well with this one. Kaji made an excellent cover as always. I really like his covers. You can check it out here.

Sekai ga Owaru Made by Ru’s Piano

Sekai ga Owaru Made is the ending theme of Slam Dunk. I don’t know who originally made this theme but, this is one of those themes that start playing in your head as soon as you read their names. Slam Dunk is an awesome anime, it is the OG sports anime yet it still has so much depth to it. As always, I love Ru’s covers. She probably has been on every single one of these lists because she uploads like 2-3 videos every week. You can check out the cover here.

Stone Ocean by HalcyonMusic

As the name suggests, Stone Ocean is the opening theme of the recently released JoJo Part 6: Stone Ocean. Now, I am not the biggest fan of Stone Ocean but I have to admit this opening is pretty damn catchy. The original artist is called Ichigo, I heard her for the first time in this opening and I love her voice. Halcyon made an awesome cover as well, it is really catchy. You can check it out here.

Conclusion

That is it for this week. Let me know your thoughts down in the comments and drop any recommendations you have for me there as well. Stay tuned for more content and yeah, I will see you next time!
