Welcome back to anime covers! It is the 16th week of this musical series. Finally, we have another entry in this series after a very long time. So, I will try my best to catch up with all the videos that have been uploaded when I was gone. I was still keeping track of uploads and on the brighter side, it makes my job a little easier since I have more videos to work with.
With all that out of the way, let us actually get started with the list itself. As always, the list is in random order. So here we go.
Akeboshi by SLSMusic
Akeboshi, originally by one of my favorite artists LiSA is the opening theme of Demon Slayer – Mugen Train arc. Obviously, the Demon Slayer Sequel definitely lives up to the hype. UFOTable is doing an awesome job on the anime and I didn’t think it was possible but, I like the anime more than the movie. Mostly because of the fact that Rengoku is getting more screen time. I really like this opening too and SLS did a fantastic job on this cover. You can check it out here.
takt by HalcyonMusic
As the name suggests, takt is the opening theme of the new original collab anime Takt Op. Destiny. The song is originally by an artist called Ryo. Takt is one of the surprisingly good anime for me this season. It was on my list because it’s Mappa and Madhouse collab and studio collabs are rare. But, I wasn’t expecting it to be this good. I really love this opening. Halcyon does an awesome job in covering this opening. You can check out the cover here.
Like Flames by Drumstick
So here’s a new channel that I found in these past few weeks. I love this guy’s covers, after listening to Kaji I looked around for more drum covers and found this dude, and man he is amazing. Like Flames is the 2nd opening theme of TenSura season 2 and man it’s fire. This cover is just so awesome; the fact that he shows him playing from multiple angles makes this video even more worthwhile. You can check it out here.
Zen Zen Zense by Ru’s Piano
Here is a more recent entry. Zen Zen Zense is an official soundtrack from Your Name. Your Name has been praised to death at this point but, it doesn’t change the fact that it’s still a great movie. Your Name also has one of the best OST collections when it comes to anime movies. Shinkai really has an eye for details. Ru covers this song from Your Name beautifully. I really like listening to her covers. You can check it out here.
Kawaki wo Ameku by Animenz
Sadly, Animenz disappeared once again when I was gone. Pretty sure, he will randomly surface once again but, till then he left us with some really awesome covers. Kawaki wo Ameku or Waiting for the Rain is the opening theme of the highly divisive anime, Domestic na Kanojo. I don’t care whether you hate the anime or love it, but man you have to love this opening. It’s just so good. Animenz as always is just the best when it comes to piano covers. You can check it out here.
Conclusion
That is it for now. I will be back doing my regular articles once again now. I will do my best to cover all of the old stuff while keeping up with the new one. So I will take my leave her for now. Make sure to stay tuned for more content. See ya!!
