Here is another sequel news that I really wasn’t expecting. Tonikaku Kawai or ToniKawa is one of the best RomCom anime of all time in my opinion and I often feel like it doesn’t get nearly enough spotlight or praise. So I was genuinely surprised when I saw a sequel announcement. I am really stoked to see this; nowhere did I ever imagine that Crunchyroll will give ToniKawa another season.
As you may know, I was gone for quite some time for reasons but, I am back now. And I am doing my best to catch with everything that happened when I was gone. I have to say though, I am really happy to be back. Aside from Bungou Stray Dogs Season 4, ToniKawa Season 2 news really caught my eye. So let’s get right into it.
What do we know about ToniKawa Season 2?
There isn’t much information yet obviously. This is again, one of those “we are working on ToniKawa Season 2, please look forward to it” type of announcements but, something is interesting in the announcements nonetheless so here we go.

Now, the sequel new would have been a big deal in itself, we had an additional announcement as well. They are also working on a new episode for the series. I think the episode will be aired before season 2 since they announced it separately.
We don’t have other details regarding ToniKawa season 2 or the new episode. I have no idea if the new episode will be a part of season 1 or be more of a stand-alone thing but, I look forward to it. So moving on to
Expectations
Man, I am honestly just really really happy to see this announcement. I loved the ToniKawa season 1 and have considerably high expectations from the 2nd season as well. The anime is a total blast and I really hope that they keep the same animation studio for the 2nd season too because Seven Arcs went all-in on the first season. Now, I know a lot of people aren’t fans of full CGI and bright animations but, for me, the animations were just perfect for the tone of the anime.
In short, I am really excited for ToniKawa season 2 and I have high hopes for it.
As for the release date, I really wish that they give us this anime early next year in the winter season but I am well aware that probably won’t be the case. I’d say the earliest we see ToniKawa season 2 would most likely be in spring. But that’s just my speculation and I could be wrong.
