This is an anime I have been looking forward to for quite some time now. I have read the original LN of this and man, it is very interesting. I love the whole concept behind this anime. It may not be new for sure but, this anime has an interesting spin on the concept. Yes, I am talking about The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs.
Continuing with our spring 2022 series, we are talking about The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs. We talked about Kaguya-sama most recently, we have also talked about a lot of other spring anime too. so check out the “spring 2022” tag on the website if you are interested. That said, I will refer to it only as “The World of Otome Games” to save my sanity. With that said though, let’s get started with it.
What do we know about The World of Otome Games?
The World of Otome Games is the anime adaptation of the LN/manga of the same name. Its original LN is written by Mishima Yomu and illustrated by Monda. The anime itself is coming out on the 3rd of April 2022, which is pretty close at this point. Check out the trailer for The World of Otome Games here.
The Games will be animated by ENGI, the same people behind The Detective is Already Dead and Uzaki-chan. It will be directed by Miura Kazuya, the director of Uzaki-chan. He has also worked on the Key Animation of End of Evangelion and Slam Dunk and he has worked as the episode director for Shokugeki no Souma. So definitely an experienced person, I hope he does well with this anime too.
Kashitarou Itou will perform the opening theme “Silent Minority” and Riko Azuna will perform the ending theme “Selfish”.
Expectations
Honestly, I don’t have many expectations from this anime. The setting of The World of Otome Games is just so unique and inherently funny, that I don’t see where you can mess up. This is one of those anime that work well even with average animations. The animations in the trailer are more than good enough for The World of Otome Games. If they keep those up, I see no reason to complain.
That said though, the protagonist’s character development is really well executed so I hope they don’t fail to showcase it. The director looks pretty experienced and Uzaki-chan was a pretty well-done anime so I hope that my worries are unfounded. I really look forward to this anime nonetheless; this is going to be one of the better “new” anime for this year I feel like.
Conclusion
Well, that is it for now. Let me know what you think down in the comments. I was typing this article while watching Genshin 2.6 live stream today. Man, it was a fun live stream; the new version and events look really fun. And of course, I am looking forward to The World of Otome Games too, both of them are coming out soon. I can’t wait.
With that said, I will take my leave here. Need to get some studies done; tests from Monday… See ya!!
