Now, what do we have here? Ooh boy…. controlling my rants in this article is going to be extremely difficult. Well, I guess another sequel to look forward to? I think…. Well, we will see I guess. Now, this sequel was definitely unexpected. I really have no idea what Netflix is thinking. Either they have gone crazy or they are really smart.
It is a bold move to give this anime a sequel after the huge backlash the first season got. It could be a really effective business strategy too but I have no idea where this anime will go after that really bad first season. What do we know about Shuumtsu no Walkure season 2 ?
The first season of this anime was released on 17th June worldwide on… well, of course, Netflix. It caused a massive backlash worldwide because of the utter trash animations. Like that was not enough, they got into some serious trouble with the Hindu community. I am not taking any sides here but the first season was hot garbage.
The official website of Shuumatsu no Walkure anime confirmed the second season yesterday (18th August). The character designer of the anime, Satou Masaki drew an illustration to commemorate this news. Graphinica is animating the second season too. Seeing that the studio is the same, I am pretty sure all the staff and cast members. This definitely has me a bit worried. We have no other information for now; I will keep you posted don’t worry.
Expectations
I have absolutely no idea what to expect from this anime. I usually say good things about the upcoming anime as I am genuinely excited for them but this once I have really no idea what to expect. It could be another cash grab by Netflix because I know a lot of people want to give this anime a 2nd chance. That includes me too. I can’t help but hope that season 2 will be better.
I mean it could be as bad as season 1 or maybe Netflix learned something from all the hate and we may get a better anime. As of now, all I ask for is proper animations and not glorified PowerPoints. I have no idea what to expect from this anime. I don’t even know why Netflix is doing this. Are they that desperate to make some more money? I really don’t want to promote Netflix but I have to give this anime a chance because the manga is actually good and has a lot of potential.
