Shuumatsu no Walkure 1st Promo Revealed!!
Good anime keep on coming this year, don’t they? “Shuumatsu no Walkure” or “Record of Ragnarok” is one of the few mangas I have ready before it got an anime adaptation. The moment I caught up with the manga I was like “gimme an anime of this eight now!!” it’s just amazing. The anime will be even more amazing than the manga because the animations and the soundtrack in the promo are very good. If that keeps up, the anime will be a hit for sure because Shuumatsu no Walkure is full of fights. In fact, its story revolves around fights. Speaking of which:
What do we know about Shuumatsu no Walkure anime?
Shuumatsu no Walkure is going to adapt the manga of the same name written by Umemura Shinya, Fukui Takumi and Ajichika. Its 1st chapter was published in November 2017 with its 10th volume just published on 18th March 2021. In the story, gods of different mythologies gather every 1000 years or so to decide on the fate of mankind. This once, all of them unanimously agree on ending the human race because they abuse the planet and each other. However, Brynhild the eldest of the 13 demigod Valkyries puts forth the suggestion of giving humanity a fighting chance through Ragnarok which is basically one on one fight between men and gods. The proposal is accepted and Brynhild gathers the strongest of human heroes from history to stand up to the gods.
The plot is rather interesting because there are not a lot of mangas that revolve around fighting tournaments that can properly justify why a tournament-like fight is going on; except for sports manga of course. Shuumatsu no Walkure has a lot of historical as well as mythical characters and is full of amazing fights. Those who are fans of the Fate/Series will have some serious fun watching this as most of the time you will be comparing characters of both franchises. Yes, both franchises have a lot of similar characters as both of them have characters from history and mythology. The art style and character designs are drastically different though so don’t have to worry about mixing the characters of the franchises.
Final Thoughts
Shuummatsu no Walkure will be made by Graphinica Studios and it’s their first anime apparently. I really hope they manage to keep up the quality of animations and soundtrack from the promo. Shuumatsu no Walkure is set to release sometime in this year’s June and will be a Netflix exclusive which is a bummer. Well still, I am really excited about this anime. I thought the spring will be a busy season with lots of anime to watch but, the summer season isn’t letting up either but hey, not complaining. More anime = more happiness for us isn’t it??
