So I covered this anime a little bit back when it was just announced. I thought that this anime looked pretty cool and it could be fun to watch. Now that we have more promotional material to work with we know more about the anime, I can safely say The Reign of the Seven Spellblades looks to be pretty good so far.
So welcome to another news article. Today we will be taking a look at The Reign of the Seven Spellblades and talk about everything we know about it. As always, the news comes first. Then I will keep my thought for later on. We pretty much know everything about this anime at this point so let’s start right away.
What do we know about the Reign of the Seven Spellblades?
The anime will be based on the LN of the same name by Uno Bokuto and illustrated by Miyuki Ruria. The anime is being made by JC Staff. It will be directed by Matsune Masato who has worked on all kinds of things from Pokemon to Magi to Interspecies Reviewers lol. The main cast will star Nakui Yuka, Tamaru Atsushi, Sugiyama Riho, Yamada Misuzu, and Sugawata Shinsuke.
The plot looks like a standard fantasy plot but there are some interesting twists on the formula that caught my eye. From what I’ve heard, the LN is pretty dark in tone so that should be fun to see in the anime. Now, the anime is scheduled to come out sometime in July 2023. And you can check out the trailer right here.
My Thoughts
I just hope that JC Staff does not mess this one up. The trailer looks pretty good, I just hope that they keep up this quality and don’t skip too much content. I am not saying JC Staff is a bad studio by any means, not at all. They have given us a lot of iconic anime over the years. It’s just that they mess up sometimes in terms of the animation quality.
But still, I will trust them with this. Because from what I’ve heard, The Reign of the Seven Spellblades sound really interesting. So I very much do look forward to its anime adaptation. I think it could turn out to be really cool in handled well. Maybe I am just being optimistic and it may be pretty bad but hey, what’s the harm in thinking positively?
Conclusion
That is all for now. Let me know what you guys think in the comments. Again, I think this anime has potential, and fairly excited about it. But, I will take my leave here for now. See ya!
