Key takeaways from Re: Zero Season 3 announcement:
- The announcement of Re: Zero Season 3 was made during AnimeJapan 2023, but no release window or staff/cast details were revealed.
- I am divided on my opinion of the anime adaptation of Re: Zero, I prefer the LN instead, but will still give the new season a chance.
Pretty sure all of us expected a Re: Zero Season 3 at some point right? The series is more than successful enough to warrant a sequel. It definitely one of the most famous and successful isekais out there and for good reason. The plot in this series never lets up; the constant plot twists always keep you on edge. Yes, I have my issues with the anime adaptation which I will talk about later; but, those are my issues. Don’t let them take away from how good of an anime this is.
So welcome back to another one of my news articles. As I said earlier, we got a lot of news to cover thanks to AnimeJapan 2023 and this is one of them. Today let’s talk about Re: Zero Season 3. I may not like the anime but a lot of people are excited about this anime so of course, I will cover it. So let’s get started right away.
What do we know about Re: Zero Season 3?
At the special stage in AnimeJapan 2023, Re: Zero had a presentation today (25th March). There, they announced that they were working on Season 3 and gave us a teaser visual and a teaser PV. That is it though, we didn’t get any info on the release window or the staff/cast of the series. They just announced that a 3rd season is under production. You can check out the teaser PV here. Now, let’s move on to
My Thoughts and Speculations
So if you ask me, I’d say we will see season 3 either in this year’s fall season or sometime in the first half of next year. I don’t it will be before that otherwise they would have specified a release window. I also think that it is safe to assume that most of the staff and cast members will be reprising their respective positions. That would mean White Fox will be the ones animating the 3rd season as well. These are all my personal speculations though, we will see how these age soon enough.
Now, when it comes to Re: Zero anime I am very divided on it. That is why you won’t see me talking much about it, even though I absolutely adore the LN. I am usually an advocate for the “anime better” side with Re: Zero I really cannot bring myself to do that. I love the story but somehow, the anime feels really annoying to me. I try to get into the anime every season but, it fails to grab me. Of course, this is a very personal problem. As I said, I love the story and world-building of this so I stick to the LN since that is suiting me better.
I don’t want to spread negativity, which is why I avoid talking about the Re: Zero anime as much as I can. Still, though, I will give Re: Zero Season 3 a chance as always. I don’t think it will work but hey, we will see.
Conclusion
That does it for now. Let me know what you guys think in the comments below. To all my Re: Zero enjoyers, I hope that season 3 is a banger and you all enjoy it. I probably will catch up with the LN again after this article. See ya!
