Man, it has been one series end after another these past few weeks. Kubo-san, then Shikimori-san, now this. Doesn’t really make me happy to see all these mangas I like, end in quick succession. But you know, as I always say, it is better to end on and time have a good ending than to end up like Rent-a-Girlfriend. This time, it is Noragami up on the ending block.
So welcome back to another one of our news articles. Today we are talking about Noragami manga and its upcoming ending. The news will be in the first half as always with the thoughts coming up after that. A manga ending always gives me mixed feelings so you know, it might be a bit of chaos down there. But, without any further delay, let’s get started.
What do we know about Noragami ending?
Of course, Noragami is a really famous manga by Adachitoka. It has been published in the monthly Shounen Magazine since December 2010. Bones made 2 seasons of anime adaptation for it as well; season 2 in particular being really good. The manga’s 25th volume was shipped in January and the 26th volume was just shipped this Thursday which is the 16th of February.
With the release of the 26th volume on Thursday, Kodansha announced that the next volume will be the last volume of Noragami. Yes, the 27th volume will be the last volume of Noragami and it is scheduled to come out sometime by the end of this year. So we will have our hands on the last chapter in a few months.
My Thoughts
In my opinion, it is a good time to end the series. The series has been going on for almost 13 years now, which is a long lifespan for a manga and it is still really popular. So I think it is the right decision to end it on the author’s terms. I am sad to see it go for sure but, it has been around for a long time. Heck, it has been around since before I started watching anime. So I understand the reason for ending it at this point, although yes, once again, it does feel sad seeing a series you like end.

Of course, I’d love to take this opportunity as and ask for a season 3 of the anime. Season 3 definitely looks pretty likely after the manga ends in my opinion. Maybe that is a bit of hopium/copium but still. A third season for the anime will be really fitting to commemorate the ending of this manga. Also lastly, I really wish that Adachitoka comes back with another mythical manga. Maybe she will, maybe she will just rest after this like Isayama, who knows. We’ll see though.
