So welcome back to another one of my news articles. Today let’s talk about My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1. Full disclaimer, I have not read the LN itself but I am interested in this anime because the concept sounds fun. So let’s talk about it.
What do we know about My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1?
The anime will be based on the LN of the same name by Nazuna Miki and Subachi. The LN has been published on the Let’s Be Novelists website since 2017 and is still ongoing. As for the anime, it will be made by MAHO FILM studios and will be directed by Yuji Yanase. Kaito Ishikawa and Rin Kusumi will be starring as the main cast.
The anime is set to premiere in July 2023, that is, the summer season. You can check out the latest PV for the anime here. As for the plot, we follow a typical isekai system but our MC cannot gain any skills. To compensate for this though, he has a skill that gives him a stupid bonus to rare item drop rate. Pretty much what the title says, right?
What do I think?
Well, as I said, I totally expect this anime to be another isekai with an overpowered MC. It literally says ‘OP’ in the title. And yet, I think I will quite enjoy this show. Why? Well, because I am weird like that. I enjoy watching bad isekais every once in a while. Just put the brain to rest and watch the MC owning monsters like nothing.
So yeah, I think that despite sounding like another cliche isekai, My Unique Sklll Makes Me OP Even at Level 1 has the potential to be quite entertaining. And as such, I look forward to it, Fortunately, it comes out pretty soon so we don’t have to wait too long for it anyways. I just hope that the cast is entertaining, The voice actor picks have been pretty good so I guess I should not be that worried.
