I swear, I am not doing this on purpose. I want to cover stuff other than the news but, this week the news keeps coming for whatever reason. Well, I know it is because of AnimeJapan 2023 event but still. I am doing my best not to miss any major updates so please stay with me. That said though, I don’t think anyone expected Mushoku Tensei Season 2 to pop around the corner this soon.
So welcome back to this week’s 7th news article. Again fair warning, it is likely that the next article will be a piece of news as well. So let’s talk about Mushoku Tensei Seaosn 2 today. I don’t think anyone expected to see more details on the news this quickly. But, not only did we get more details, but we also got a release window. So let’s talk about it.
What do we know about Mushoku Tensei Season 2?
This news announcement is the courtesy of AnimeJapan 2023, the same as the previous big news announcements. Mushoku Tensei was on the Green Stage and they revealed the main staff, teaser visual, and the 2nd PV for Mushoku Tensei Season 2. The main staff is mostly the same from the first season although we do have a new director. Hiroki Hirano was previously the assistant director of the series, now he is the main director. The other changes to the staff are in the series composition and character design sections.
Goes without saying, Studio Bind will be the one making this season too. As for the release window, it is sooner than you’d expect. Mushoku Tensei Season 2 comes out in July 2023 which is the summer season! That covers all the announcements for now though, you can check out the new teaser PV here. Now let’s move on to
What do I think?
Well to be honest I did expect to see this anime sometime this year but, I was expecting it to be in the fall season or something. I really did not see it coming in the summer season. But, I am glad that is it coming out sooner than I expected because the upcoming arc is pretty rad. Once again, it is a big turning point in the series.
I know how the story progresses but I am still very excited to see it in animation. I know a lot of people hate Mushoku Tensei; I know it gets really weird in certain parts but the character development and world building in this series are done so well. Wonder if we will see the world creation story this season cause that is one hell of a lore drop.
