Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 2 – Sequel in summer 2021
Recently, there have been a lot of new anime announcements. I’m seeing a lot of sequels as well as a lot of new adaptations. Maybe it is just me but, it feels like there are a lot of sequels in this year. Especially because a lot of hyped and much-awaited sequels like Shield Hero and AoT are airing this year. Hopefully, we’ll get bleach this year too to make things even better (maybe I should give up on No Game No Life season 2). Well anyhow, the sequel we are talking about today is Kobayashi – san chi no Dragon Maid. Yes, finally a sequel to this surreal comedy anime nearly 4 years later. So let’s get right into it with what I know about the sequel. But first:
Plot
A programmer found a dragon while drunk and offered it a place to stay in her house since it had nowhere else to go. The dragon transforms into a busty and energetic maid. She identifies herself as Tooru and intends to repay her depth to her savior by working as her servant. While Kobayashi is regretful of her offer at first, but when she sees the awesome dragon abilities of Tooru her mind changes. Apparently, the reason behind Tooru’s arrival is way more complicated than it appears, and slowly, all sorts of mythical creatures start gathering at Kobayashi’s place.
This is a very funny and entertaining anime. Season 2 should be good as well. As for the plot, I have no idea what to expect in season 2. It should be fun to watch for sure. As for the animations, I doubt there will be anything to worry about because…. Well I mean it’s Kyoto Animation. Do I even need to say more? Of course, they are going to be good.

We got the 1st promotional video of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid season 2 last week along with the staff details in a live stream. The anime is set to air in summer this year somewhere in July. Most probably it will be 13 episode season like the 1st one as well. They will be rerunning the 1st season on TV channels in April. Well, that does not matter for us as we watch anime online. But, it will be a good opportunity to watch/ rewatch the anime both online and on TV. The 1st season aired in winter 2017 so it’s been more than 4 years since the original release. Still, I’m glad to see it is finally getting a sequel. Another anime to look forward to this year I guess. I’m not worried about this anime falling on its face because it’s mostly comedy and if they get the comedy right like the 1st season, then there is nothing to worry about.
Well, that is all the news I have about anime for now. I’ll return soon with more anime news for sure. Check out the promo of the anime here. Do stick around the site for reviews, recommendations, art, and of course news. I’ll keep bringing you more articles. So for now, I’ll take my leave. See Ya!!
