So welcome to our 2nd new weekly series. Once again, I will list my personal picks for 5 manga you should check out this week. I will once again try my best to keep a balance between the genres and age of the manga. This is a weekly series and there are a lot of mangas to cover so don’t worry, your favorite manga will show up here sooner or later.
I will keep this list as short as possible for all of our convenience. Like before, the list is in random order. One more thing I’d like to mention is, unlike anime, I don’t really read that much manga so please forgive me. I will try my best to get you good recommendations still. So let’s get started

JoJo Part 7 – Steel Ball Run
Starting off the list with a classic. The part 6 anime is dropping sometime soon but part 6 isn’t that great. Part 7 on the other hand is really good. The best thing about Part 7 is that you can read it without any knowledge of the previous as it is set in an alternate timeline.
It is a tad bit different from others since it’s literally based on race. Except for that, it is JoJo Manga, you know what to expect even if you’ve not watched or read JoJo before. And I didn’t know this but, it is the 2nd highest rated manga on MyAnimeList.

Akatsuki no Yona
I have no idea if this will ever get a 2nd season but we still have the manga at least. It is a typical revenge story yet, somehow so different and unique. The plot pacing is so good, it really draws you in. despite the typical clichés, Akatsuki no Yona is somehow different and really good.
Akatsuki no Yona may be a shoujo manga, but it is a damn good one. I didn’t know it is still ongoing. I am gonna catch with it real soon though because I really wanna know what happened after the anime ended.

Hinamatsuri
Another anime I don’t think will ever get a season 2. It’s such a shame cause Hinamatsuri is really good, it is a complete ride. It’s funny, it’s emotional and some parts may really change the way you think. You just can’t go wrong with this.
The manga is over. It is 117 chapters or 19 volumes. That’s like enough content for 25 something episodes the anime only had like 12-13 episodes. 117 chapters aren’t that long so you should really check this one out.

Mahoutsukai no Yome
Another ongoing manga, however, this anime does have a hope of getting a sequel since it still has OVAs coming out. We may see a season 2 of Mahoutsukai no Yome one of these days. We have the manga to keep ourselves busy till then.
Mahoutsukai no Yome is really a crazy story and it cuts real deep. It’s a dark and sad story. The backstories of a few characters are just crazy sad and twisted. You should really check this out. The latest chapter is 78 and it is a monthly publication so there is quite a lot of content in it. Mahoutsukai no Yome is what you call “unexpectedly good”.

Tokyo Ghoul
I had to mention this in the first list. I absolutely had to because the anime really did this masterpiece manga wrong. Even if I put aside Root A, the anime adaptation of :re was also really bad. They skipped a lot of important scenes and explanations.
I mean the Tokyo Ghoul Manga is just amazing. There is a chapter in the dragon arc that does not have a single dialogue and it is still amazing. Not many people can make a manga chapter without dialogue. Check it out right now it is 14 volumes or 144 chapters of Tokyo Ghoul and another 16 volumes or 181 chapters of :re. it is a bit long but, it’s worth it.
Well, that is all I have for now. Let me know your thoughts in the comments. I tried my best again to incorporate all sorts of manga, I will start reading a lot of mangas to make these articles better so please look forward to it.
As always, stay tuned for more content, and do not forget to check our awesome art section. With that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!!
