Kimi to Boku is a series very close to my heart. It is very funny on the surface but, it carries such a sad undertone of growing up and being separated from your friends. As someone who just went through the age, I really find this series relatable it always makes me sad whenever I think about it; even though it is mostly a comedy series. It is sad to see this manga end but, every manga comes to an end.
Kimi to Boku was on hiatus for some time now but, it is finally back and they also announced when it is going to end. I really hope this means that we will get a 3rd season of the anime too covering the part between season 2 and the ending. That probably won’t happen but, what’s wrong with a little hopium? So well, here is all we know about the manga’s return and eventual goodbye.
What do we know about Kimi to Boku’s return and goodbye?
Kimi to Boku is written and illustrated by KiichiHotta. It is serialized in the GFantasy magazine and the manga resumed in GFantasy’s February edition after a very long hiatus. Kimi to Boku was on hiatus for like 2 years and 8 months now if I remember correctly. And sadly the manga is set to conclude on 18th March meaning including the February issue, we’ll only have 2-3 new chapters after the long wait of 2 years.
It is always sad to see a manga you ending. When it is something really relatable like Kimi to Boku, it hurts even more. But as I said, every manga must come to an end; we just have to deal with it. Let me tell you why this ending makes me feel sadder than normal though.
Expectations and Copium
I can kind of guess how Kimi to Boku ends and that makes me even sadder. Because I know for a fact that it is going to be a very relatable ending and it is probably gonna make me cry. I don’t have that many fond memories of school but, I do miss being able to meet my boys daily man. I am really looking forward to this ending yet, at the same time I don’t want it to end. But, that is how life goes.
Now on a lighter note, moving on to the copium and hopium part I am hoping that because of the manga ending, they’ll hook us up with another season of the anime. Seriously man, just give us one more season covering the remaining part of the manga. A lot of people want another season of Kimi to Boku. Do it.
Conclusion
That wraps it up for now. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. If you haven’t watched Kimi to Boku, do yourself a favor and go watch it. If you are in high school or have already graduated from high school, you’ll find it really relatable. If you’re younger, you may not like it that much though. Well, with that said though, I’ll take my leave here. See ya!
