Key takeaways from Ishura news:
- Ishura is a light novel series with an upcoming anime adaptation set in a chaotic fantasy world. Five powerful characters vie to become the ultimate hero. The LN has been digitally serialized since September 2019, published by Kadokawa, and released in English by Yen Press.
- The Ishura anime has announced its cast but lacks information on the studio and staff. This makes it challenging to assess the adaptation’s quality and faithfulness to the LN.
- Despite the uncertainty, the article recommends reading the enjoyable Ishura LN. It expresses trust in Kadokawa’s handling of the anime and hopes for a successful adaptation. The final judgment will be reserved for when the anime is released.
I got into this LN recently. A friend put me on this, he seemed to have enjoyed it and he described this LN to me as ‘Game of Thrones on Crack’. So I checked it out and I have to say, the 4 volumes I read were amazing lol.
So Ishura is this pretty cool LN that has an upcoming anime adaptation. This LN should be way more popular than it is, man. It was a fun read. Let’s get over all the news stuff first though.
So welcome back to another edition of Put This on Your Radar – the series where I talk about upcoming anime that caught my attention. Today let’s talk about Ishura.
What do we know about Ishura anime?
The anime will be based on the LN of the same name by Kureta and Keiso. It is set in a fantasy world where the demon king has died and left a whole bunch of chaos in his wake. 5 OP characters fight the remaining monsters and occasionally, each other to become the one true hero. The novel has mostly been serialized digitally since September 2019 while its hard-copy volumes are published by Kadokawa. The English releases are handled by Yen Press as always.
As for the anime, sadly, all we have gotten till now are cast announcements. We don’t know the people or the studio who will be working on this anime yet. At least we have a teaser PV. Anyhow, the main cast for this anime consists of Kaji Yuuki, Ueda Reina, Ootsuka Akio, and Fukuyama Jun. You can check out the teaser PV right here.
What do I think?
First off, it is kind of strange that they have announced all the major cast members, we even have a PV but we have no clue about who is working on Ishura. We don’t even know what studio is working on it, let alone the staff members. Usually, the main staff members are announced with the main cast/PV. But we got nothing over here.
Why do I bring this up, well because it makes it really hard to judge what kind of quality we can expect from the adaptation. Because given the setting of Ishura, it’ll be a bit tricky to adapt it properly. Still, though, I will trust Kadokawa. Hopefully, they know what they’re doing and there is some important reason why we haven’t seen the staff members yet.
Conclusion
That is all for now. I really recommend checking out the Ishura LN though, it is a fun read. As for the anime, we will see how it turns out whenever it is released. With that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!
