There have been a lot of important news announcements recently and I will get to them one by one. But for now, I am starting off with this one because this is something I did not expect to see in my wildest dreams. I am a huge rom-com fan and Horimiya is one of my favorite rom-com animes of all time so I am really happy to see this announcement.
So welcome back to another news article, today we are talking about the Horimiya side-story announcement. Well, we all know that Colver Works skipped out on a lot of content when they made the original anime. So no points for guessing what this side-story will consist of. So let’s get started right away!
What do we know about the Horimiya Side Story anime?
The anime will be called Horimiya: Piece. It will be made by Clover Works just like the original. All of the cast members will be reprising their roles and most of the staff remains the same as the original as well. We do have a few new additions to the staff though. The new people are mostly in the animation direction, the rest of the original staff is the same.
Now, as I mentioned before, Horimiya: Piece will likely cover the portions of the manga left out by Clover Works in the original adaptation. We don’t have an official confirmation for this but, what else could it be? Anyways though, the anime is scheduled to come out in the summer season. That means sometime in July 2023.
You can check out the teaser PV here.
What do I think?
I think I have made it pretty clear that I am a huge fan of this series. Even though Clover Works cut through a lot of stuff in the original adaptation, I still love that anime. So I am really glad that they are going back and adapting the chapters they originally skipped into a side-story type thing. Despite all the cutting around, Clover Works did a great job with the first season, so I don’t have any doubts that this will be a good adaptation too. Clover Works is a good studio in general, I do trust them.
But you know, it is more Horimiya content, something I am always hungry for so I am really excited about this anime. I really look forward to it and I hope Clover Works does its thing as always. There are certain parts of the manga I am really excited to see in the anime. Hopefully, they will be included in this season.
Conclusion
That is all for now. Let me know what you guys think in the comments. I am really excited about having some more Horimiya content soon. I really do love this series so yeah. With that said though, I will take my leave here. See ya!
