DanMachi season 4 part 1 finished airing very recently. In fact, the last episode aired just yesterday. And man, it was an awesome season. I can confidently say that season 4 is by far the best DanMachi season so far. I was really hoping to see more and low and behold, my wish was granted. Honestly can’t ask for more, just curious to see where the story goes from here.
So DanMachi season 4 part 2 was recently confirmed. We don’t know that much about it yet, but we did get some new info on it. Before we start though, I really recommend that you check out season 4 part 1. It is a banger season and you’ll love it. With that out of the way, let’s start right away.
The Key Visual
What do we know about DanMachi’s season 4 part 2?
The last episode of season 4 pretty much confirmed that they are working on a 2nd cour for the season. Then, the official Twitter also revealed an announcement teaser along with a key visual for the 2nd cour. DanMachi season 4 part 2 is set to air in January 2023 i.e., the winter 2023 season. So the winter 2023 line-up is looking very good as of now. More accurately, the 2nd cour will start airing on January 5th.
Of course, since it’s just a 2nd cour, all of the major staff and cast members will remain the same. That also means JC Staff will be back to animate the 2nd cour. They did a great job on the 1st cour so I am not really complaining. And finally, you can check out the announcement teaser for DanMachi S4 part 2 right here. With all that said, let’s move on to my rambling.
Expectations
I can’t actually believe I am excited about a DanMachi season. The show kind of lost me with season 3, I never thought the show will manage to pull me back but it actually did. A similar thing happened with Overlord and while Overlord also kind of pulled me back, I never got the same enjoyment out of it as I did with DanMachi. I said this before and I’ll say it again, season 4 is by far the best season of this anime.
So if a season that good is getting a 2nd cour in the near future, I am of course very happy about it. A few friends of mine actually told me that the upcoming arc is pretty good, I didn’t take their word for it back then but I do now. So things apparently get grimmer than this which… wow, I can’t even begin to imagine. Just look at the new key visual for the season, this show definitely ain’t PG13 anymore.
So all in all, I am very excited about the 2nd cour. I can’t wait to see where the story goes from this point on. And I hope that JC Staff keeps up their good work.
