Well, Funimation’s new anime movie is already making headlines with its amazing conclusion which was long overdue. A new foe is making his way into the Code Geass world and two years after his disappearance. Lelouch is coming back to save his sister from a new and dangerous foe. Though the world was going in the right direction. Now with the appearance of this new for it has made things interesting as world-famous hero Zero and Britannian Princess Nunnally are kidnapped in a surprise attack. So, you can say that the plot of the movie will revolve around the kidnapping of the Princess and Lelouch saving them.
You should get excited about this exciting movie because it will serve as the Finale for the series overall. The movie has been directed by Goro Taniguchi for Sunrise and Funimation is performing the broadcasting duties.
When Will Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection Release in America?
The trailer of the movie looks really promising and it will be released in May in America. This is a big sequel project continuing from where the original series ended. The series has been going strong in the theatres in Japan. And it is scheduled to release in the West and the best part is that the movie will be released in both English language and with Subtitles as well. Funimation will be screening the movie in North America in limited theatres. On May 5 in the Japanese language with English subtitles and May 7 with an English Dub.

Well, you can call Lelouch the main protagonist of the Code Geass anime series. He is also known as the Lulu, “Black Prince”, The Demon Emperor and sometimes Demon as well. Lelouch was the ELEVENTH Prince of the Holy Britannian Empire and he was also the son of the 98th Emperor of the Britannia. His character is really exciting and the fans loved the series mainly because of his performance. He was the leader of the Black Knights and the real identity of Zero.
For those who don’t know the Code Geass anime series was a huge hit back in 2006, 2007 and 2008. The fanbase of this anime series increased a lot in those years and Lelouch Vi Britannia was the reason for that. He was chosen as the most popular male character of 2006, 2007 and 2008.
Lelouch is very intelligent, caring, compassionate and sometimes ruthless as well. He doesn’t seem to care for his subordinates apparently but in reality. He always thinks and wants to protect his loved ones and that is the plot of the upcoming Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection as well.
As Zero, he grew stronger because his secret identity was very famous. He became Zero the moment he obtained the power of Geass from C.C. The mysterious Zero was seen wearing a black helmet and a cloak.

So, another main character of the anime series is C.C. she is a girl with long hair and green color. She is an immortal character that can heal from any kind of wound. She also doesn’t age and she can also bestow people with the power of Geass. And that’s what she did with Lelouch. Her character was very famous too, and she even won the award for most popular female character of 2007 and 2008.
This girl has many nicknames in the Code Geass like immortal witch, pizza girl and zeros woman. She also has a scar on her body that resembles the Geass sigil. She seems to express very little emotions in the series. However at some points she does express her emotions and while she was in the presence of Lelouch. She became a different person when she lost her memory but she regains her memories, her personality reverts back.
Suzuki Kururugi
Apart from Lelouch if there is any protagonist worth to mention then that is Suzuki Kururugi. He has some nicknames like White Knight and White Grim Reaper. His connection with Lelouch is really interesting as he was also a part of the Zero group led by Lelouch. At first, he was shown as a selfish man but his character has a huge development as the series progressed. When Japan was conquered and Suzaku killed his father and that was the moment his personality totally changed. He stopped being selfish and also left being a terrorist and he made up his mind to protect the people. And he stops shedding blood for nothing. His goal was to atone for the killing of his father.
Nunally Vi Britannia
Nunally is one of the main and supporting characters of the series. She is the sister of Lelouch Vi Britannia and also the Princess of the Holy Britannian Empire. Her character is very loving as she wears a smile yet beautiful smile her face all the time. In the first season. Nunnally is often seen wearing the Ashford Academy middle uniform. She is a character which resembles kindness, care and love. She doesn’t support the way Zero works and she wants to bring peace to the word in her own way. The story of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection revolves around the kidnapping of Nunally. And that’s what makes Lelouch make a comeback in the series.
“Shirley Fentte”
Nothing is unforgivable you know. In other words, you are not willing to forgive him. You don’t want to forgive him.
Shirley Joseph Fenette is another supporting character and she seems to be 17 years old in the first season of the series. She was a student at the Ashford Academy and she was also awarded the 19th place in the 29th Anime Grand Prix for the favorite female character. Her character just like other supporting characters was very loving, cheerful and she was socially active as well.
Shirley always tries to protect others and sometimes goes out of her way to help others. She always tries to get the attention of Lelouch and Mao even described her, as a girl who craves for attention all the time. She doesn’t like when Lelouch is around other girls. This character is voiced by Fumiko Orikasa in Japanese and by Lauray Bailey and Amy Kincaid in English.

Where to Watch The Movie?
Well, you can watch the movie in theatres in Japan with ease, but for watching the movie in the US, you will head over to the official website of Funimation. This website has the official rights for screening the movie. But so far the news is that the movie will be screened in theatres both English Subtitles and in English dubbed version as well.
The first trailer of the movie was released back in December by Funimation. Several characters including Kalleen and Suzaku have been shown in it. But now with the movie’s release, it is confirmed that the main protagonist of the movie has come back to save the world yet again.
