10 Reasons Why Boruto Will Not Be As Good As Naruto
It was 2017 when Naruto came to an end. We were emotional, yet excited for the sequel of Naruto. Boy were were wrong…
The hype was real and the hopes were high but who would have thought that it would turn out to be a disappoint. Yes, you read it right, I am saying it loud and clear that Boruto has been a disappoint so far and it really needs to improve its story.
1. Filler, Fillers & Fillers
I’m gonna start with the most frustrating part of the Boruto series. The fillers have been the main issue of the series and we have seen only fillers so far if we set aside the Momoshiki battle. There are fillers only in the series.
There is no potential plot of the series like we had in Naruto. Right from the word go Naruto series was spot on and it had drama, emotion and great storyline. But, in case of Naruto you are not going to see that. First 100 episodes of Boruto didn’t leave an impact, whereas the story was up and running in Naruto.
You can see even after 100 episodes we haven’t seen any major plot revealed. All we have so far is Mitsuki arc which has been pretty dull and now Kakashi arc has started which is quite the same too.
2. The Creator
What is the one thing that makes the series an outstanding one? Writer of the series is responsible for shaping the series and honestly this time around the creator of the Boruto isn’t as good as Masashi Kishimoto.
The writer of Boruto is the assistant of Masashi Kishimoto. Furthermore, the crew that is responsible for writing the storyline of Boruto is the same crew, which has written the storyline of Naruto fillers. So, you can see that is the main reason why Boruto is not like Naruto.
Don’t you think that Boruto is full of fillers so far? The people who are writing the script are the main reason behind the poor storyline of Naruto. Some episodes are very confusing and some are childish with no plot or intense drama.

3. Boruto Is Not Like Naruto
The main protagonist of the series is responsible for shaping the series. The main character should be an epitome of perfection and it must be likable I repeat it must be likeable. Because if the audience doesn’t like the main character, then who is going to watch the series? What will be the attraction element?
Boruto is completely opposite to his father and he is very annoying sometimes. He wants to be powerful just to show his father and that’s it. Whereas Naruto had bigger goals and fans had a natural connection with Naruto.
The Anime hasn’t shown his main goal of life and all he does is go around and be useless. He isn’t cool nor he is someone who has a will to understand the main problems the village and his father faces. Rather than appreciating his father in the work he is doing, he just makes fun of him and he is always complaining.

4. No Emotions, No Drama
The next thing that makes the series dull and dry is its poor philosophy and depths of character. You are not going to find any major drama or emotion in the series or even in the characters.
Be it Mitsuki or Boruto they don’t have that will and emotions. Sasuke was an avenger and his aggression was super amazing. Naruto had a will to show what he has got. But Boruto? Well, I don’t think that the characters of the Borutohave something exciting to offer.
Naruto has suspense at every turn, but in case of Boruto we have seen so many boring episodes.
5. Storyline
Everyone will accept the fact that Naruto storyline was the best one ever. The complex story of each character and the way one character connected to the other was really astonishing. Who would have thoughtItachi was a good guy? The jaw-dropping ending of Madara and everything else. The reincarnation storyline of Naruto and Sasuke.
Everything in the Naruto series was on point and exciting. But in case of Boruto there is no proper storyline to follow. They are just going from one filler arc to the other and not much happening in the series so far. The creators of the series will have to step up the game or they will have to get some help from the Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto, who is currently working on his new manga Samurai 8: Hachimaruden.

6. Villains
So, who is the main villain of the series? Is it Kawaki or Kashin Koji? Do you really think two villains will be enough? Even after 100 episodes, we haven’t seen any sign of Kashin Koji or even Kawaki.
Naruto had some of the best badass villains of all time. From Orochimaru to Pain to Madara to Akatsuki to Obito to Otsutsuki the list is endless. Everyone villain was badass and had to offer amazing fights.
But in Boruto things aren’t going like that. It needs a major pull and that pull should come from the storyline, which offers amazing villains because Kawaki and Kashin Koji aren’t enough.

7. Pirated Version of Naruto
Another reason that Boruto series isn’t satisfying because the series lack potential. Sometimes, it feels like Boruto creators are copying the Naruto creator. For example, the Mitsuki arc which is pretty similar to Sasuke retrieval arc and then the Kawaki character which is more like Sasuke. We will definitely see Kawaki becoming friends with Boruto and it is predicted that Naruto will teach him like Jiraiya did. In the end Kawaki will go rogue like Sasuke.
8. Naruto Wasn’t Slow
The plot and Naruto series progression were very good. It felt like the series is going at a steady pace which the audience liked. But in Boruto, this isn’t the case because the pace is slow and after so many weeks the series is yet to deliver a great arc.
Naruto was exciting right from the first episode and the plot of the series was crystal clear. But in Boruto the creators are going very slow and they don’t even know what to bring next to entertain the audience.

9. Goal of Boruto
The aim of the main character is very important and what he really wants to achieve. Goal of Naruto was very clear as the wanted to prove a point and protect his village and become the hokage. It is like pursuing dreams in our life and that’s why people connected with it naturally.
Boruto doesn’t has a goal like Naruto. This is one of the biggest reasons why Boruto is not like Naruto. Boruto is missing this key point and that’s why Boruto series is dull and dry and the audience don’t know where they are going at the moment.
Naruto was exciting right from the first episode and the plot of the series was crystal clear. But in Boruto the creators are going very slow and they don’t even know what to bring next to entertain the audience.
10. Boruto is A Soft Series
Last but not least, the Boruto series is a very soft one and it feels like it is made for the kids. Naruto had intense fight scenes, blood, emotion and killer death scenes. But in Naruto, we haven’t seen anything like that so far. The series is very slow and soft that the Naruto fans are getting bored and are not following the series.

Conclusion
So, in the end, the bottom line is that the Boruto series will have to work really hard to match the Naruto series. The fans are disappointed and they only pull the Boruto series has is the presence of Naruto and Sasuke in it. Because everyone wants to see them fight and want to see the grown-up Sasuke and Naruto. So, what do you think? What is the reason behind Boruto being so slow and boring? Let us know in the comment section below.
