Arifureta Season 2 is an anime that I havenโt really covered till now. Mostly because I wasnโt doing this work when it was first announced all the way back in 2019. Arifureta is a rather divisive anime but, it does have something to like about it. As I have said multiple times before, sometimes generic anime with seemingly no redeeming qualities can still be good. Arifureta is a very good example of that.
Now that we know most of the details about Arifureta Season 2, I believe this is a good time to talk about it. The recent announcement of additional cast members reminded me that I need to cover this anime so well, here we are. So letโs start right away.
What do we know about Arifureta Season 2?
Arifureta season 2 was confirmed all the way back in 2019. Its confirmed release period was announced this year and it recently got a new PV, which you can check out here.
The PV features the opening theme of Arifureta season 2 performed by the YouTube artist, MindaRyn. MindaRyn recently also performed the opening theme of TenSura Season 2 part 2. I definitely recommend that you check her channel out.
Arifureta season 2 is set to release in January 2022. The main cast is reprising their roles and there are a few new additions as well. Arifureta Season 2 will be made by asread and Studio MOTHER. Arifureta 2 will be the first work of Studio MOTHER so letโs see how it goes. The PV does look pretty good so we will see.
Expectations
My expectations from Arifureta Season 2 are clear: I want more of what made season 1 fun for me. And I am pretty sure that is exactly what Iโm gonna get. It is gonna be the OP main character owning the world power fantasy once again. What makes it slightly different is that Hajime wants to go back to his own world along with Yue. To that extent, I am actually curious howโll his research progress.
It is one of those that I will still watch even though I am not exactly excited about it. I do somewhat like Hajime even though he is a typical stereotype. All of the anime is exactly like that; it is a very typical story with slightly different twists and stuff. I still find it enjoyable even though I’d give it a low score in a review.
As for the animations, the PV looks slightly better than season 1 did. Iโd love if they added some more detail in the fight scenes just to make Arifureta that much more enjoyable. But, even if everything except the story remains the same as season 1, Iโd still enjoy Arifureta Season 2.
Conclusion
That is it for now. Let me know if you will be watching Arifureta Season 2 or not down in the comments. As I said earlier, I will be watching this anime just because I find it enjoyable. With that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!!
